Akwa Ibom broadcasts reshuffles faculty attendance days, resumption dates

Akwa Ibom State authorities has introduced its plans to stagger faculty days for Secondary faculties with a inhabitants of over 2000 college students.

The Secretary to State Authorities and Chairman COVID-19 Administration Committee, Dr Emmanuel Ekuwem in a press briefing on Wednesday mentioned college students in JS1-JS3 will attend faculties on Mondays to Wednesdays whereas SS1 -SS2 will attend from Thursdays to Saturdays between the hours of 8am and 2pm.

He mentioned; “Main six pupils had already resumed lessons on Monday, September 21 whereas Primaries 1-5 are to renew on Monday, October 5, 2020 and ends 14th November 2020.

He mentioned the SS1 college students will resume September 28 and proceed on vacation from Sixth-15 November 2020 and the JS1-SS1 will resume September 28 and finish November 14.

“All faculties will resume for the primary time period 2020/2021 educational 12 months on November 16 and finish January 30th, the second time period will resume February 1, 2021 and finish on Thursday 1st April 2021 for the Easter break. All faculties are to renew for the third time period of the 2020/2021 session on Monday 19th 2021 and finish on Friday 23rd July 2021.

“First time period 2021/2022 session will begin on 13th September 2021 and finish on 17th December 2021.
