BREAKING: Obaseki meets with President Buhari, speaks on his ‘return’ to APC

The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, met with President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, on the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Talking with State Home correspondents after the assembly, he declared that it could be “immoral” for him to return to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Obaseki received re-election within the final Saturday’s governorship election, which he contested beneath the Peoples Democratic Occasion (PDP).

He defeated APC’s Osagie Ize-Iyamu with a margin of 84,336 votes.

Obaseki had dumped the APC for the PDP, when the ruling occasion disqualified him from taking part in its major election.

There have since been issues that having received the election on the platform of the PDP, he may return to the APC.

However Obaseki, who met with Buhari alongside his deputy, Philip Shuaibu, mentioned it could be immoral to take action.

He described his journey to Aso Rock as a “thanks go to” to Buhari.
