Couple, 2 others arrested with human cranium in Ogun

4 individuals have been arrested for allegedly being in possession of a human cranium.

Mr. Abimbola Oyeyemi, Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), disclosed this in an announcement issued in Abeokuta on Monday.

NAN studies that Oyeyemi stated the suspects, names withheld, have been arrested on Sept. 25.

He stated the Odogbolu Police Division obtained a chunk of data that some individuals have been digging up a grave with the purpose of eradicating the corpse of somebody who was not in any method associated to them.

“The Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Odogbolu Division, Afolabi Yusuf, led his detectives to the scene, however the suspects had already eliminated the pinnacle of the corpse and left.

“The police then launched into an intelligence-based investigation which led to the arrest of the couple and two others.

“The three of them confessed being the individuals that dug the grave and eliminated the pinnacle of the corpse.

“They later took detectives to Ikenne, the place the fourth one that requested them to carry the pinnacle for ritual objective was apprehended,” he stated.

He additional said that the state Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, had ordered the speedy switch of the suspects to the State Prison Investigation and Intelligence Division for additional investigation and prosecution.
