Courtroom remands man for sexually assaulting three minor women in Jos

A Excessive Courtroom sitting in Jos on Wednesday ordered {that a} 25-year-old man, Adamu Garba be remanded in a correctional centre for sexually assaulting three minor women.

The Prosecution Counsel, Mr M.A. Chup, Ministry of Justice, whereas presenting the case, informed the courtroom that the defendant lured the minors aged 8, 9 and 10 to an uncompleted constructing and sexually assaulted them.

Chup stated that the offence contravened the provisions of Part 208 of the Plateau State Penal Code of 2007.

In keeping with him, an announcement which was written by the accused on the police station after he was arrested confirmed he admitted that he lured the minors with Guava fruit.

“The women reside in my space, they at all times come round my home and every time I see them, I supply them guava and put them on my lap,” the accused stated.

Nevertheless, Justice Nafisat Musa, ordered that Garba be remanded in a correction centre, although he pleaded not responsible to the crime.

He adjourned the matter till Nov. 18, for listening to, NAN reviews.
