Courtroom stops NLC, TUC strike; orders Police, DSS to guard employees

The Nationwide Industrial Courtroom has granted an interim injunction restraining the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Commerce Union Congress (TUC) from embarking on a nationwide strike.

The commercial motion is slated for September 28.

On Thursday, Justice Ibrahim Galadima mentioned the order was pending the listening to and dedication of the Movement on Discover.

Galadima granted an interim order restraining the unions, their officers, associates, privies from stopping employees and others Nigerians from accessing their places of work from Monday.

He additionally granted an order compelling the Inspector Normal of Police and the Director-Normal, Division of State Companies (DSS), to guard employees engaged of their authentic duties from harassment, intimidation and bullying by NLC and TUC.

The order adopted an ex-parte utility filed by the Integrated Trustees of Peace and Unity Ambassadors Affiliation by means of their counsel, Sunusi Musa.
