Femi Fani-Kayode, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Get together, PDP, has condemned the suspension of Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi on Friday.
Fayemi was suspended by the State Govt Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for ‘quite a few anti-party actions.
The social gathering had in an announcement claimed that Fayemi hosted a bigwig of the Peoples Democratic Get together (PDP), Femi Fani-Kayode, 5 days earlier than the Edo Election, throughout which they deliberate a coup towards Edo APC.
However talking shortly earlier than the suspension, Fani-Kayode mentioned the suspension was absurd as Fayemi was a loyal member of the APC.
He tweeted, “@kfayemi is a loyal member of @OfficialAPCNg while I’m in @OfficialPDPNig. Accusing him of “anti-party actions” & making an attempt to droop him from his social gathering as a result of I visited him to debate nationwide & SW points is absurd. Is it “anti-party” to fulfill with a pal of over 30 years?
“Is it “anti-party” to aim to engender peace in our nation & to construct bridges throughout regional, ethnic, spiritual and social gathering strains? Is it “anti-party” to apply politics with out bitterness?
“We should settle for the truth that speaking to people who we don’t agree with politically is one thing that should be inspired. Politics will not be warfare!”
