Fani-Kayode slams Buhari for blaming Obasanjo, Jonathan for Nigeria’s issues

A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has hit out at President Muhammadu Buhari, for blaming previous leaders for Nigeria’s current woes.

Buhari, throughout his 60th Independence Anniversary speech, stated that “these within the earlier Governments from 1999 to 2015, who presided over the close to destruction of the nation, have now the impudence to try to criticize our efforts.”

Fani-Kayode, writing on Twitter, described the president’s remarks as “a case of misplaced aggression, an expression of frustration and an acknowledgement of his personal failings.”

He additionally acknowledged that it’s Buhari who has taken all the pieces that the previous leaders gave Nigerians.

Fani-Kayode wrote: “It’s unhappy that Buhari attacked Obasanjo, Yar’adua and Jonathan in his speech.

“It is a case of misplaced aggression, an expression of frustration and an acknowledgement of his personal failings.

“OBJ, UMYA & GEJ gave us again our dignity and self-respect. PMB got here and took them again from us.”
