Gana: Troops kill a number of bandits, arrest others in Benue, Nasarawa, Taraba

Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE, on Tuesday stated it has recorded super success towards bandits in Benue, Nasarawa and Taraba States.

The Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. John Enenche, in an announcement in Abuja, stated the operations had been recorded on Monday following actionable intelligence on the attainable hideout of the remnants of the late repentant Benue militia chief, Terwase Akwaza, aka Gana’s militia parts.

In line with him, many ammunition had been recovered, and a number of other bandits had been killed, and others had been arrested by the Nigerian Military.

The assertion learn: “Following credible intelligence on the presence of some suspected armed herdsmen harbouring within the forest boundary between Benue and Nasarawa States yesterday, 14 September, 2020, troops of Sector 1 engaged the bandits at first gentle with a lot of them escaping with gunshot wounds. “In the midst of the operation, troops had contact with the armed militias who fired at troops as they closed in on their place. The gallant troops swiftly responded with superior fireplace, forcing the bandits to flee the camp in disarray into the encompassing forest.
