Gov Abdulrazaq mourns Professor Akinwale

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State, on Monday, described the demise of Professor Ayo Akinwale, as a painful and irreplaceable loss to the academia and the Nollywood trade in Nigeria.

Professor Akinwale, a gifted orator, was till his demise, a senior lecturer within the Performing Arts Division of the College of Ilorin.

A press release by the spokesman of the governor, Rafiu Ajakaye in Ilorin stated “His Excellency, sends his condolences to the household of the late thespian, Nollywood household and the complete College of Ilorin over this unhappy loss.

“As devastating SS this growth is, the comfort is that the academician left an indelible mark within the sand of time as an actor, playwright, creator and instructor with nice impacts on a number of generations of scholars and artists.

“His legacies will reside on within the minds of the individuals,” the assertion added.

The governor prayed Almighty God to repose the soul of late Professor Akinwale, and grant consolation to the household he left behind.
