The Lagos Neighbourhood Security Corps (LNSC), Ejigbo LCDA, Lagos State has warned the Nationwide Union of Street Transport Employees (NURTW) to fish out the business driver who killed one among its officers at Iyana Ejigbo bus cease yesterday.
An officer, Nsude Chika connected to Iyana Ejigbo was reportedly knocked down by a business automobile (LT) at Energy Line bus cease, Iyana Ejigbo and died instantly on the spot whereas the driving force ran away.
The deceased was stated to be on his method to his obligation submit when the incident occurred at about 1:30pm on Monday.
A involved resident of Ejigbo, Mr. Ahnaed Shekoni, who spoke to DAILY POST correspondent, stated the driving force, who was driving in opposition to visitors (One Method) ran away along with his passengers after knocking the sufferer beneath a transferring trailer.
He stated: “We urge the authority of NURTW to please examine this matter and fish out the LT driver who knocked him down and ran away to avert the fracas that may happen between the LNSC officers and the yellow bus drivers.
“The unhappy information is that he was knockdown by LT Bus plying a technique and knocked beneath the trailer and the humorous information is that no LASTMA official nor police might choose the bus quantity plate nor arrest the driving force until he ran away with passengers contained in the bus.”
The LNSC Corps Superintendent, Ejigbo LCDA, Omokayode Adeoye, stated the stays of the sufferer has been evacuated and deposited in mortuary at Isolo Normal Hospital whereas the investigation is on to fish out the driving force.
The Head of Administration, Ejigbo LNSC, Rasaq Makanjuola defined that the accident was attributable to one of many members of the Nationwide Union of Street Transport Employees (NURTW), who was chasing the business driver for refusing to present him cash.
In response to him, the driving force, in a bid to flee, took a technique and hit the unsuspecting LNSC officer who was using on his bicycle to his obligation submit.
He urged the management of the NURTW to arrest the employee (agbero) to fish out the business driver for investigation.
