Kogi: FCT Minister reacts to loss of life of 23 individuals in Lokoja tanker explosion

The FCT Minister of State, Ramatu Aliyu, has reacted to the Kogi State tanker explosion, which claimed the lives of 23 folks.

DAILY POST reported that the accident, which occurred alongside Felele – Nataco axis of Abuja – Lokoja street concerned 5 automobiles, one tanker, three tricycles and two bikes.

Some Kogi State Polytechnic college students and first faculty pupils had been burned within the mishap.

The minister, in a press release by her Particular Assistant on Media, Austine Elemue, expressed shock over the loss of life of the victims, particularly the varsity youngsters.

Aliyu described the tanker explosion as tragic, whereas calling on the state to wish for the souls of the departed.

“I pray that on this troublesome time, the love of God will proceed to guard our folks,” she added.

Aliyu condoled with the federal government and folks of Kogi over the accident, particularly households of the victims of the inferno.

The minister additionally urged the general public, particularly college students of the Polytechnic, to stay calm and peaceable, stressing that the federal government was conscious of the gravity of the scenario.
