Lecturer suspended for allegedly impregnating scholar

A Senior Lecturer, Dr. Rowland Uchechukwu Igwe of the Ignatius Ajuru College of Schooling, Rivers State, has been suspended.

The Administration of the Ignatius Ajuru College of Schooling (IAUE) mentioned it positioned Dr. Rowland Uchechukwu Igwe of the Division of Sociology on an Indefinite suspension for alleged sexual assault.

Vice Chancellor of the establishment, Prof. Oz-Mekuri Ndimele acknowledged that, “Igwe’s suspension is hinged on an allegation of serial intimidation, sexual harassment and undue canal information of a feminine undergraduate which resulted in her being impregnated and struggling well being problems.”

The matter has been referred to the Council-Senate Committee on Employees Disciplinary Issues of Ignatius Ajuru College of Schooling for additional investigation.
