NAFDAC seizes N350,000 price of pretend hand sanitisers in Bauchi

The Nationwide Company for Meals and Medication Administration and Management (NAFDAC), Bauchi State Workplace, says it has seized cartons of pretend hand sanitizers price N350,000 in some supermarkets and drug shops within the state.

The NAFDAC State Coordinator, Mr Mohammed Muazu, disclosed this to newsmen in Bauchi on Thursday saying the gadgets had been confiscated after a raid was carried out on outlets, NAN experiences.

Muazu stated out of 13 manufacturers of the faux sanitizers, 11 had been manufactured in Kano State whereas two had been produced in Bauchi state.

Based on him, the company had commenced an investigation to hint the producers.

He, nonetheless, urged the general public to be aware of NAFDAC and Batch Numbers, Manufacturing and Expiry dates of meals, medicine and medical consumables.
