NSCDC arrests 29 unlawful mining operators in Imo

The Nigerian Safety and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, on Saturday, paraded 29 individuals arrested for allegedly collaborating in unlawful mining actions in varied areas in Imo State.
The state’s NSCDC commandant, Mr. Danjuma Elisha, who spoke with newsmen, mentioned the suspects have been arrested following a directive by Gov. Hope Uzodimma to rid the state off unlawful minners.

He mentioned that the arrests have been effected by a mixed efforts of the Navy, Police and the Federal Street Security Fee.
