SARS allegedly kills man in Delta, flees with sufferer’s automobile [VIDEO]

A group of the Particular Anti-Theft Squad (SARS) of the Nigeria Police allegedly killed a younger man on Saturday.

The incident occurred in entrance of Wetland Resort, Ughelli in Delta State.

The operatives allegedly shot the citizen and left the scene.

A trending footage reveals them spending off within the sufferer’s car – a white Lexus SUV.

SARS is a dreaded Police unit that has repeatedly harassed and killed Nigerians.

Usually, the culprits are by no means arrested or prosecuted.

Their actions have triggered protested on and off social media (#EndSARS), with many Nigerian clamouring for the scrap of the division.

In August 2018, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, because the Appearing President, ordered for Inspector Common of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idirs, to overtake SARS administration and actions.

Osinbajo order that the unit that may emerge from the method, have to be intelligence-driven and restricted to the prevention and detection of armed theft and kidnapping, and apprehension of offenders linked to the said offences.

Laolu Akande, his spokesman, in an announcement, stated the order adopted persistent complaints and experiences of human rights violations by SARS.

Osinbajo additional directed the Police to “make sure that all operatives within the rising unit conduct their operations in strict adherence to the rule of legislation and with due regard to Worldwide Human Rights Regulation and the constitutionally assured rights of suspects. The operatives must also bear correct identification anytime they’re on obligation.”
