Strike: Nigerian Govt releases particulars of agreements with labour

The Federal authorities on Monday made public the main points of its agreements with organised labour.

An announcement on FG’s Twitter deal with, stated officers held session conferences with leaders of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Commerce Union Congress (TUC) on September 15, 24 and 27, 2020.

The resolutions reached included institution of Technical Committee on Electrical energy Tariff.

It’s chaired by the Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, and includes ministries, businesses, NLC and TUC.

They may work over the subsequent two weeks.

They’re to look at justification for the electrical energy tariff evaluate; evaluate the deployment of meters, and recommendation FG on points hindering implementation.

“The Federal Authorities will proceed to facilitate licensing and supply of latest modular and common refineries. FG will guarantee supply of 1 million CNG/LPG Autogas Conversion Kits, Storage Skids and Allotting Models underneath the Nigeria Gasoline Enlargement Programme, by December 2021.

“A Governance Construction for this challenge can be established, and can embrace Labour Representatives. FG will work to facilitate removing of tax on minimal wage.
