Two killed as land grabbers ‘drag’ gun with police in Ogun

Two individuals have been killed in Ikogbo, a neighborhood in Ado-Odo/Ota Native Authorities Space of Ogun State.

The victims reportedly died as they had been hit by stray bullets when some suspected land grabbers had been allegedly dragging a gun with a policeman.

The State police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident, stated two others had been receiving remedies within the hospital.

He disclosed {that a} crew of detectives dealing with the petition was in Ikogbo on Wednesday to arrest 4 of the suspects accused by the Oba.

“Following the arrest, some youths suspected to be cultists led by somebody recognized as Fiasco, mobilised and attacked the policemen and police station at about 3:30pm, taking pictures indiscriminately.

“They vandalized the station and Fiasco himself snatched and took away one AK 47 with out a journal from one Inspector on the station after a lot wrestle,” he disclosed.

Whereas saying normalcy had been restored, Oyeyemi said that 4 suspects have been arrested as of Thursday.
