The Lagos State Police Command has defined why it deployed 1,000 of its officers to Edo State forward of Saturday’s governorship election.
DAILY POST reviews that the command, on Sunday, stated it has deployed 1,000 officers to Edo for the September 19 gubernatorial election.
In the meantime, Nigerians have been expressing issues on why such numerous officers have been deployed to Edo from Lagos.
However, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, stated the command acted based mostly on the instruction from the pressure headquarters in Abuja.
Talking in a phone interview on Candy FM Abeokuta on Monday, Adejobi stated:
